New Zealand Tourism Awards Finalists 2024

Success Story.

The Seventh Generation Tours was our incubator. We nurtured the business as a start-up through strategic planning and execution.

The Seventh Generation Tours, based in Akaroa/Banks Peninsula, has flourished within the tourism sector as a Regenerative Tourism Business, and we’re delighted to share that it has reached the finals in the Tourism Aotearoa Awards (TIA) 2024. Our organisation supported this business as an incubator, offering mentorship and guidance, and it’s been rewarding to witness its growth and resilience. The team at The Seventh Generation Tours has shown remarkable perseverance, especially through the challenges of COVID-19, proving their ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic industry. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and extend our heartfelt congratulations.

About The Seventh Generation Tours.

Authentic experiences

This tour provides a deep understanding of New Zealand's history and nature and leaves you with clear inspiration and hope for the future. The tour is based on an Indigenous Concept, to think of the seventh generation coming after you in your words, work and actions, and to remember the seventh generation who came before. Based on an ancient philosophy of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy (Iroquois), recognized as the oldest democracy in the world and believed to be the model of the American Constitution, the foundation document of the most powerful and prosperous nation on earth.
